Off-Brand Opera is seeking performers for our January 2025 production of Don Giovanni! Our production revamps one of the world's best-known operas and features an all-new English libretto. Set in the 1920s, this new adaptation features much of the classic music with a Jazz Age-inspired twist!

SHOW INFORMATION

Music rehearsals will take place during December 2024 in NYC, with staging rehearsals beginning January 4. Performances January 17-19 at Theatre at St. Jean (150 E 76th St.). Pay is $200-500 depending on role.

Don Giovanni (baritone)
charming, dangerous, intense

Leporello (bass-baritone)
comedic, fearful, intelligent

Donna Elvira (soprano)
bombastic, vulnerable, hurt

Donna Anna (soprano)
angry, mournful, passionate

Don Ottavio (tenor)
fearful, affectionate, resolute

Zerlina (soprano)
young and naive, comedic

Masetto (bass-baritone)
shows explosive anger, vulnerable

Il Commendatore (bass)
powerful, stoic

Covers will be cast for all roles and will also perform in the chorus.

SUBMIT AN AUDITION

For all roles, please submit two contrasting arias, with at least one selection being in English (either from an English-language opera or an English translation of a non-English opera). Audition submissions due Thursday, October 24 at 11:59PM.

Actors who receive a callback will be notified by Monday, October 28. Callbacks will be held in midtown NYC on Saturday, November 2.
